FedEx visit Het Doel

On Wednesday April 18 FedEx Veldhoven was the host to 26 supply chain professionals of Het Doel.
The supply Chain professionals enjoyed a plant tour by Wiek Swanenberg of FedEx Supply Chain Europe and were able to see and hear more on Inbound and outbound Logistics at FedEx.

  • inbound (unloading trucks, sorting and checking, put-away),
  • outbound (picking orders with man-up trucks, checking and packing at the packing tables, automatic measuring & weighing of each shipping unit, creation of AWB, stacking by carrier),
  • VAS/VAL activities (returns, labelling, kitting etc..)

Unfortunately, we had to disappoint 12 other applicants. We are working for them to look at a second round of visit to FedEx.

Lid over Het Doel

Een groot compliment is na de vele bijeenkomsten/bedrijfsbezoeken dit jaar zeer op zijn plaats.
Ik heb nog nooit in een jaar aan zo veel interessante leerzame evenementen mogen meedoen.
Echt ‘SUPER’ (om het maar eens populair te zeggen).
 
Dat geldt ook voor de bedrijven waar we zijn geweest.
Ook voor hen een groot compliment voor de openheid en gastvrijheid.
Met WP Haton gisteren als schoolvoorbeeld.
Ook hier weer: Super !
 
Enig ‘nadeel’….dit smaakt naar meer….in 2017.
(en dan heb ik het niet over al dat lekkere brood van gisteren)
