Effective Conflict Management

Although we might not be aware of it, a considerable amount of time in life is spent dealing with conflicts. Unresolved conflicts are one of the main sources for the existence of bottlenecks which are in the way of achieving better results or reaching envisioned goals. Without an adequate approach, conflicts may lead to tiring discussions and even serious fighting where in the end very little or nothing is achieved or someone imposes a one-sided solution by force. As an alternative, compromise deals are sometimes used as a means of conflict solving and decision making. However, most of them turn out to be unsatisfactory after some while and often enough are the starting point for new conflicts. If conflicts prevail or are not solved in a win-win way, they will deteriorate the workplace atmosphere as well as one’s private life.
